The city of Vittoria was founded by the Countess Vittoria Colonna Enriquez in 1607, a woman noted for her fairness (she never charged taxation and gave immunity to debt) and that might just be why we chose our Jackie O style glasses to be named in her honor (well, more the city, but that’s not the point!). Two ladies with a ton of style! The Vittoria Jackie O style Sunglasses are stunning looking – a little like Vittoria itself. The city features a number of beautiful neoclassical buildings, despite being rebuilt after a devastating earthquake in 1693. Of course, it is the local wine that it is famous for and the local vegetable market offers to produce that you really cannot pass up. The Vittoria style is oversized and very cool. With the classic retro Jackie O shape, the frame comes in brown, black, or tortoise. You can choose the magnification that works best for you, giving you a pair of Sunglasses that will take you from outdoor café to terrace wine bar and on to local beaches with ease. Vittoria is a town and comune in the province of Ragusa, Sicily, southern Italy. With its 62,748 inhabitants. Vittoria is the second most populated municipality of the province of Ragusa after Ragusa. The town, which is gracefully laid out on a chessboard pattern, was founded in 1607 by and named after Vittoria Colonna. Significant landmarks include; the Madre church, the Santa Maria delle Grazie church, and the Neoclassical Teatro Comunale. Currently, Vittoria is also an important market centre for wine and olive oil and also exports early fruit and vegetables.
