ABOUT THE MASSA COLLECTION
When designing a pair of safety glasses, we thought about where you’d need to wear them as you’re traveling through or living in Italy. While Massa has its fair share of tourists, its Apuan Industrial Zone — which employs over 7,000 people in the region — is home to about 600 manufacturing and artistic endeavors. As well, producing marble is one of the area’s primary industries, from mining to polishing it into the luxurious pieces spotted in homes and buildings.

GET TO KNOW MASSA
Like many cities and towns in Italy, Massa is imbued with history. Located not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea, Massa’s written legacy goes back to the 4th century AD. Later, during the centuries Italy was a collection of city-states, Massa was the capital of Massa and Carrara. Later in the 19th century, it became part of the Kingdom of Sardinia.
