We chose the city of Gela as the inspiration for our Gela Librarian-style Glasses because of its beautiful southern Sicily location, the perfect year-round temperature, and of course, its fascinating style and history. We think the two pair together perfectly. Gela is a great location for anyone who loves their Greek and Roman history. With a large and well-known museum that features local artifacts and the ruins of Greek baths, the city also features many small and intimate ruins and architectural interest spots. Gela is a style that features a winged shape. We call it a Librarian, but it is a little less boring than that! Gela, is a city and comune in the Autonomous Region of Sicily, the largest for area and population on Sicily's southern coast. It is part of the Caltanissetta province, being the only comune in Italy with a population and area that exceeds those of the province's capital. Gela is the centre of a cotton-growing region. Fishing is also important, and petroleum deposits were discovered nearby in the 1950s and are today the basis of a large local petrochemical industry.
